    Hello,

I recently tried to run Unity 2019.2.4f1 (64-bit) after having it work completely fine a couple days ago. However, whenever Unity Hub automatically starts up, I get this error:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."

Not sure if this will be useful but here is the event data from the application crash:

Unity 2019.2.4f1 will then launch a dialog box allowing me to continue launching Unity by creating an empty project or opening a project.
I can open up a blank Unity template, but if I try to open up a specific project the Unity Hub error message appears again, and Unity goes completely white with only the file menu bar at the top, and gets stuck loading infinitely.
Windows Task Manager will show the Unity project as "suspended".

I have also tried the 2019.3 Beta but I cannot run it as I need Unity Hub to activate my licence.

I'd very much appreciate any help I can get as I have a game jam coming up this weekend. Thank you!!

(P.S. I should also mention I have already looked at this thread: https://forum.unity.com/threads/unity-2019-2-wont-start-on-shadow-pc-0xc0000142.741359/ which is a different issue than mine as it affects Unity itself rather than Unity Hub. I tried the solution anyway and no luck.)

What happens if you activate your licence? In case you have a problem with it, just delete "Unity_lic.ulf" in "C:\ProgramData\Unity" so that Unity Hub recreates it.

It's also better that you open Unity Hub first and open your project from it, simpler. ;)

I should have been more clear in my original post but the problem is that Unity Hub won't launch, and as a result Unity itself won't work either.

I will try deleting that file tonight, but I'm anticipating that Unity Hub won't recreate it because every time it launches I get the error above.

I also can't launch projects from Unity Hub because it won't open in the first place.

It will since the file is needed to run Unity properly. :)
