I tried integrating Google VR into my project, but then decided not to include it. I deselected "VR Supported" in player settings and deleted the Google VR folder. Everytime I delete the Google VR folder, Unity imediately starts to re import it! Why does this happen?

What version of Unity are you using?

I think it was 2017.1 I just uninstalled all of unity and downloaded the latest version in hopes of resolving the issue. It now appears to be staying deleted.

Delete any GVR objects in your scenes, close Unity Editor, manually delete only the Assets/GoogleVR folder and the Assets/GoogleVR.meta file and restart the Editor.
