Reinstall of unity did not solved the problem. I have tried to delete ProjectSettings.asset from project but also didn't helped. I run into this issue after some switches between platforms IOS <- WebGL -> Facebook

    Code (CSharp):
    1. NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
    2. UnityEditor.PlayerSettingsEditor.BeginSettingsBox (Int32 nr, UnityEngine.GUIContent header) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Mono/Inspector/PlayerSettingsEditor/PlayerSettingsEditor.cs:603)
    3. UnityEditor.PlayerSettingsEditor.ResolutionSectionGUI (BuildTargetGroup targetGroup, ISettingEditorExtension settingsExtension) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Mono/Inspector/PlayerSettingsEditor/PlayerSettingsEditor.cs:783)
    4. UnityEditor.PlayerSettingsEditor.OnInspectorGUI () (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Mono/Inspector/PlayerSettingsEditor/PlayerSettingsEditor.cs:535)
    5. UnityEditor.InspectorWindow.DrawEditor (UnityEditor.Editor[] editors, Int32 editorIndex, Boolean rebuildOptimizedGUIBlock, System.Boolean& showImportedObjectBarNext, UnityEngine.Rect& importedObjectBarRect) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Mono/Inspector/InspectorWindow.cs:1240)
    6. UnityEngine.GUIUtility:ProcessEvent(Int32, IntPtr)

I installed UnityDownloadAssistant-5.6.3p1 from 5.6.1p3 and I got the problem. Than I installed the 5.6.3.p2 and the problem still . After that, I uninstall Unity and installed it again (5.6.3.p2) and it did not solved the problem.

You get the problem on a clean project or existing one?

So what i did to solve the problem:
    (I'm on Macbook)
    1. Deleted Unity and all it's cache
    2. Deleted content from <ProjectFolder>/Library
    3. Installed Unity 2017.2p10 beta and updated the project since reinstalling unity 2017.1 didn't helped :)
    4. Downgraded Facebook SDK to version 7.9.4

    Solved, thank you!
No need to delete the Library, just the Facebook SDK folder.
Downgraded of Fadebook SDK indeed solved the problem, something is wrong with 7.10 / 7.10.1

I had the same issue within unity 2017.1.1.f1. As soon as I had uninstalled the facebook gameroom playback engine part, my project (which included the facebook SDK package 7.10) was working as expected.

Downgrade solved that issue as well.
So both ways seems to be valid and provide some kind of fix

If someone is still interested in this, i recompiled the git sources of the plugin and fixed this issue. Also i did get rid of editor errors. Here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxVp4Kknjm_iQXhlMV9IMzhTa0k you can download-it and try. Don't be confused by version number, i named it 7.9.4 just to make unity editor happy and get rid of error "Unknown sdk", inside you will find version 7.10.0. Seems that in unity there is a "MAX Allowed" version of facebook sdk stored. If someone have questions, write me a message.

After downgrading to FacebookSDK from 7.10.0 to 7.9.4 (deleting FacebookSDK folder in Assets, then importing 7.9.4), when trying to build for Android and iOS Production in Unity Cloud Build, it fails on this error:

253: [Unity] [ 42 MB ]SpritePacker failed to get types from Facebook.Unity.Gameroom, Version=7.10.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null. Error: The classes in the module cannot be loaded.

Looks like it is trying to find an artifact from 7.10.0.0. Did I miss something when trying to downgrade by this method?

Local build for Windows does succeed, however.

For those of us that are not engineers, where the heck is the Facebook SDK to delete in the first place. Didn't anyone test this work?

@Acreates This is an older post. Did you originally install the Facebook SDK? Please provide a screenshot of your project structure, you should see the FaceBook SDK under your Assets folder.

Well, it happens for me today in Unity 5.6.5p4 and manually installed Facebook SDK ver 7.5.0.

    My folder structure is following

    Client
    |
    +-- Library
    | |
    | +-- FacebookSDK
    +-- Assets
    |
    +-- FacebookSDK(ver 7.5.0)
