Is it possible for me to get a copy of the beta version too? I'm very new to the developing world and trying to make an iOS game and hoping this could help me out. Thanks.

We are finalizing the Umotion 2D documentation and in the meanwhile on the App Store are now available our two iPhone and iPad games with animations realized with Umotion 2D.

If this gets released let me know. Haven't looked too much into it, but it does look amazing. :)

    Good luck with development!

I just came across this and wow I'm impressed. Are there any updates, is there a planned release day? (I'd be interested in trying out the beta if that's still possible, I'm working on a 2D game too)

    @xzile40 thank you!

@Jimgle fett you have a PM with Beta Link.

We will release Umotion 2D very soon ( next weeks ).
We are working in particular on documentation and video tutorials because Umotion 2d can be used not only for characters skeletal animation but also for animated GUI and Backgrounds.

In the final version we have added new features, for example dark skin or antialias edge option for generated atlas ( to avoid flikering between skeletal bones) .... so stay tuned!

I would like to jump on this train :)
This looks to be a very elegant tool for working with 2D animation.

    Hi there,
Very interesting package you got there, I'd also love to beta test it... :D

    3 things
1- Have you considered the situation where we'd want to attach an external object to the character?
2- Can we change frames in real-time? For example swapping a happy face with an angry one, or a fist into a relaxed pose?
    3- How about animation blending?

    Thanks

    Hello

1 Yes with a parent object

2 Yes, In Unity you need to use one simply function to manage animation made in Umotion 2d:

    play_anim(number,startlayer,finishlayer,start,finish,anim_speed)

Alternatively with a manual script you can associate different UV Atlas in realtime.

3 Yes if you mean automatic interpolation between keyframes, but no blending between completely different animation with the script that we will provide.

In any case if you are interested i can sent you the beta link so you can test the features ;)

With the final release a new dark theme as option and thanks to all beta testers suggestions a lot of new features ( Layers, Loop, Prefs,RGB animation, UV Coordinates Animation,Non Linear interpolations, Etc.. ).
We have also optimized script and integration for Unity.

We are just looking into the animations part of our 2d project and this little program looks like it would be a good option for us to do the animations. Would be happy if I could get a beta invite as well so we can start test it and see if it is the right thing for us. It looks great!

Came here for the same reason: Umotion 2D looks awesome.

A link to the private beta would be amazing. Or better yet: a link to where I can buy the product!

May I join the beta testing as well? I'd especially love to play around with the feature of switching to a different Atlas at runtime, thus changing only certain elements of a character during an animation (as I've seen it's possible in a previous post).

That would be great, with the last beta I can at least get my artist trained in using it so we're ready to go once it's all ready, and hopefully even have some animations done by then.
