UMA - 3dScan realistic textures

    Considering the sunshine plugin, the resulting textures look incorrect? It might be the case the sunshine is also affecting the atlas calculation, as it's based on rendering a composition of planes with textures.

    Hey Fernando! You must have a new little one by now. :)

    I think the problem was Unity continuously logging errors. Sunshine replaces Unity's built-in shader settings, in addition to requiring a partial re-write of every shader you use. I think it was Sunshine's built-in shader settings that was the problem, and when I restored that to normal everything UMA was fine.

    What was exactly update of high quality scans about? Support of PBR of Unity 5.0?

    Thanks for your patience everyone!
    I'll update myself on the UMA 2.0 changes and start working on updating the overlays. I'm checking with Eli and Joen the new standards on lighting the scene so we can deliver some nice results both to UMA 2.0 example scenes and the scan textures.

    Hi, i remember you said that you have 3 more scans you were thinking of doing.

    Is there any plan for this year or will you be too busy?

    Yep, I do have plans on getting those integrated as well.
    I'll prioritize updating UMA 2.0 lighting and the existing scan overlays first, but the other scans will be my next step. I've been really busy with my daughter birth but now I'm starting to have the time to check the project again.

    Congratulations.

    My son is now 5 months old and I just realised that I havent touched Unity since he was born. Thinking might get time to play again when he starts college.

    Probably this next weekend I'll wokr on integrating a small part of the blacksmith environment/lighting into UMA example scenes. I'll figure out a good spot that won't require many extra textures and provide a good light variation.

    UMA PBR Branch at GIT

    Hi there everyone! The UMA PBR Branch has been created and is available here:
    https://github.com/huika/UMA/tree/umaPBR

    It still includes all legacy overlays files, I'll organize and update all example scenes in the following days, as well as have the challenger armor ready for AssetStore.

    As soon the PBR version is out at AssetStore, I'll work on updating my AssetStore content as well to be fully working with UMA PBR latest version.

    How much muscle could Athena get with it, could it be change at all, I am admirer of tall and big strong woman and wonder how big and tall we could put her, a picture would be highly apreciated

    Hi there!
    Both Athena and Dionysus are texture packs, they don't limit the body customization changes UMA provides.
    The way UMA handle body modification provides full freedom to adjust the code and have huge body volume changes, we usually restrict sliders on example scenes.

    Dionysus 3d scan has been updated =)
    Now it supports both Unity 4 and Unity 5.
    Unity 4 version requires UMA 2 and Unity 5 Version requires both UMA 2 and UMA 2 PBR, so it can get the most quality from skyboxes and reflection probes.

    It's on approval process and should be at AssetStore soon.

    Athena Scan and High poly are the next ones in the list, I'll update both tomorrow.

    That's great news Fernando! thank you so much, I was just going to ask about those because I purchased the high poly slots and Athena overlay but they came out with all errors all over with UMA 2. lol I will test it shortly.

    Happy to say all assets have been updated to UMA 2 and UMA 2 PBR =) Most of them are still under approval process, but should be available on following days.

    Hi there Richard1985, The highPoly slots is the only asset that didn't got approved yet, but it's already under review for some time.

    The good news is that the challenger armor set is now available for free =)

    I purchased this and downloaded it from the asset store into a new project to toy with it. None of the example scenes had anything in them. They were all missing scripts, nothing was functional... Did I do something wrong or is it borked at the moment? Using Unity 5. This was off a fresh store download.

    Hi there! Thanks for purchasing Dionysus Scan :))) this asset is made for UMA - Unity Multypurpose Avatar. I would recomend that you first download both UMA 2 and UMA PBR for your project, before importing this asset (both free and open source content), those are required for using the realistic scans at the highest quality.

    Hi,

    I bought both scans, added them as overlays and something doesn't look right. I'm not getting the muscle mass and 6 pack abs.

    Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Hi there!
    Looks like the material you´re applying on the avatars don´t uses normal maps.
    You´re having the same issue on the example scenes?
    Be sure you have the correct materials both on the overlays and slots.

    I would like to re-shape the UMA models with ZBrush as you did and polypaint them, but I am not sure which tutorial I should follow.

    I am sure the assets will work with the latest branch, although UMA53 is being replaced any day now.

    You may have to redo the overlays and slots, but maybe not. :) I suggest the UMA thread too. I don't think Fernando visits this thread often anymore. :)
