    Game Masters 3D is working on a complete zombie solution. With zombie games being so popular and the asset store not showcasing any full zombie game solution we have set out to create the perfect drag and drop solution for zombie games. We are wanting to work closely with anyone interested in this kit and make adjustments to our package as we make it to fit your needs.


    Our main goal is to make the asset a drag and drop solution that anyone can use. The package is planned to contain everything needed, fps character, zombie variety with classic and hyper virus animations, three starter weapons, scripts for Ai, weapons and animations last but not the least important is particle effects.

    Looking good, I voted for all. For a complete kit you really need to implement close combat mele combat.
    As well as close and long rang weapons like handgun and rifles.

    Also if you could have different mele types would be awesome
    Eg two handed mele for swords, one handed hammer bashing etc.

    We have been working away and have completed some parts of the package, we have finished the players arms and almost completed the zombie animation series. The weapons have been chosen by you guys and we are starting modeling those, we will be doing the shotgun, katana and spiked bat.

    Here is the the playable character update

    looks really nice and high detailed :) may i ask what is the poly count of the zombie and what tools u use?

    I've been trying to figure how to make a single script or attribute for one click application to "make zombie" with animations, sound, AI. That way, any avatar can be re-skinned to look like a zombie and be game ready to kill. I see way too many zombie games with all the same type of zombie. Your zombie kit would be great if you had something like that as well, also if you had a script for "make melee weapon" that way we can create our melee weapons without having to do any hard work! haha

    The zombie you see in the images is at 5200 triangles and we are planning to provide lower lod versions. We use the typical high poly to low poly work flow utilizing zbrush and maya. Thanks for the compliment we are trying to retain great details in this art project.

    We are making a very simple to use package with beginners in mind. Generating one click weapons and zombies is a hard task and isn't a part of what we are trying to accomplish. We are providing a full package that is ready to be implemented into any zombie game. No coding or hard stuff prefabs will be ready to drag into your scene and use. Thanks for the input :)

    Those are nice looking arms. I would be interested in an FPS arm pack if they were rigged so I could adjust the hands to grasp different weapons etc.

    Hi, We are working consistently on it, right now we are looking at 1.5 to 2 months before it is finalized. We have two weapons and two characters to complete plus the rest of the animations.

    braad, The package doesn't have to be used for a zombie game. The arms and weapons will be rigged and animated and can be used in any game. Possible we can do a separate package all together if enough people are solely interested in the arms and weapons. But only time can tell since we are still a good ways away from being finished.

    There are many weapons kits that focus on the features, melee, attachments, mobile.

    what i really would liek to see is a "zombie kit" (with a focus on the zombies not the guns) that has various types of zombies, AI for the zombies thats intelligent enough to do some sort of pattern like gameplay. for example, in resident evil theres a type of zombie that if you walk close enough to it it will grab you and attack you. i would settle for just attacking you from close. another zombie walks towards you and jumps at you and swings at you. another zombie was able to jump up and stay on a roof, and drop down (no clue if they actually programmed in walking on the roof) but the idea that it could drop down and then attack you like a zombie is a great one.

    These are just some of the examples that would be great and re-useable for similiar games such as Monsters, Aliens, Deamons (doom, alien-vs-preditor..ect).

    But a gun system would likely be half complete, and would just be worked on forever, a zombie kit is something you can release and potentially never have to update, so long as all of the zombie features were there.

    and a gun kit could just be something you sell at a later time.

    This also opens up the possibility of using the zombie system by itself, in an Top Down zombie game for mobile, 3rd person zombie game, or first person shooter zombie game.

    Thats my suggestion is, make the zombie kit that isnt out there on the asset store. not the half built gun kit that already exists on the asset store by the many, and still are being worked on 1-2 years after theyre initial releases on the asset store, and still do not have every feature that a modern fps has.

    I'd buy the zombie kit, if i could use it in my top down zombie mobile game, and my fps zombie mobile game. So atleast you dhave one sale

    tripknotix- we are definitely focusing on the zombie side but i did want to point out that just because this is a zombie package it doesn't mean you have to use it for that. if someone loves the level of detail in our player or weapons they can easily use it in any type of game. We are a very small team so we are trying to get as much done with out delaying the release since it will already be about 2 months from now.

    With that being said we would love to include all the features you would like but at this time we are doing what we can. We have three zombies coming including a crawler. It would be cool to have the crawler programmed to crawl walls and ceilings like the grandma does in legion. But being a two man team we can only do as much as we can and hope to release a good starting point and build off of that. Our focus is on the zombies and that aspect not a weapons pack. Thanks for your input :)

    Totally down to help out, looking for tps action game though and plan to add sentries or towers

    and its not so much zombie model or animation for me rather than core mechanics, spawn points, mutliple weapons, assembling parts or towers, classes, builds etc.

    I would check the asset store there are tower defense kits available from other publishers, which tower defense doesn't really have anything to do with this project. We are focusing next generation art and it is a fps with key role being a drag and drop zombie solution.

    Is there going to be a zombie wave system like black ops zombies, because it would really help me out if there was for what i am trying to make.

    At this point you will have the function of spawn points with a timer for respawn and how many zombies spawn. So in a way yes but it won't have a round clock or specific gameplay exactly like black ops, but with the source code being provided it would not be hard to add the remaining functions to convert it to a round base wave survival game where the round ends after last zombie killed. We will see maybe we will make this a option in te package :)

    Alright cool. either way is find but of course i would rather have a kill wave system like black ops but if its not possible this is great also. I would consider it for an update after the release though if not put in the package on the release date.

    Hi, we're looking at 1.5 months max 2 months we still have quite a bit to do but more then one person is working on this project. We should be updating the thread with animations and weapons in the next week or two.

    Im very interested in your hand models.
    Will they be fully rigged so i for example can easly change my current hand model?

    And can your asset be used for a commercial game?

    Maybe you have already finalized the weapons you are creating, but I would always like to see some marginally realistic anti-zombie weapons. Where are people finding katanas and learning how to properly use them?

    My suggestion would be a simple .22LR semi-auto with an (optional) makeshift suppressor (a car oil filter fitted to the end). The .22LR is more than enough to penetrate skull at close range, it's light, it's quiet, and incredibly common. And the oil filter suppressor thing actually works (especially with something like the .22LR), and oil filters are also everywhere (the only hard part would be attaching it if you don't have the tools to properly thread an adapter).

    That would be my choice for expedient zombie weapon that would be very effective at close- to mid-ranges and easy for survivors to realistically find/build. Much more useful than any melee weapon and you don't see it nearly enough (or at all) in zombie games.

    We are working hard it is just a two man team right now and hope to release it asap. As far as price we will be discussing soon. We are providing much more then just characters and animation unlike the rest of the zombies on the market place. We still plan to keep the price as low as possible and competitive to what you find in the asset store.

    Shane- we have weapons in progress and chosen. Although anyone can swing a katana without training you do bring a valid point. I searched the .22lr and have found both rifles and hand guns. Which are you wanting? Also we have had the idea of implementing make shift silencers for added realism and extra details for the weapon art. Playing Brink is what gave us the idea :)

    Just one last question, what will the name of the package be? Ultimate Zombie kit? or something else, just curious so when it is released ill know what the name is so i can buy the package.

    We are doing what we can to finish as soon a possible without compromising the quality in the art work. That is one of our main goals is to keep the level of detail next gen, so it will take us more time then expected in the long run but in the end all assets will be high quality and that to us is more important then pushing out a cruddy looking zombie package that will just blend in with the other in the asset store. So hang in there we are doing our best :)

    Here is the first melee weapon "spiked bat" all weapons being completed will have a true survival design. We are sticking to everyday type of weapons you would be able to gather from a home, modify and be ready to protect yourself from zombies. Hope you like the details on this one. First gun coming soon.

    Cool looks great so any idea when this package will come out? Along with all the other people i am very impatient for this package to come out. I know you must put a lot of work into this but i have seen that you guys are past the date you guys originally wanted to release this to the asset store. I know its a lot of work but i am just too impatient. Any idea when it will be released? that's it thank you.

    We are still working on the animations of the player and weapons since they are now finished being modeled. We are way past our original deadline and very sorry for anyone who is waiting on us. It is taking more time then expected.
