    Hi,

I noticed that the UI Text field is leaking memory. The amount of memory leaked rises with the text length. I created a small example project (25k zip) that shows the problem.

The example project instantiates 200 text fields / second and immediately destroys them. You can see in the Profiler or with the script "AllocMem" (free at Unity website) that the amount of memory keeps climbing up until the whole machine is no longer usable.

If I replace the Text UI element by an image, the problem disappears.

    Best,

    Nils
