    Hello everyone!

i've recently started working in Unity, and im making a spin-off of a popular game right now Among Us.

so i've been wondering how they did those Minigames (tasks)
did they render a scene on top of an already existing scene? (the game)
is it all just buttons and sliders in a UI Canvas?

so my question is: when my character approaches the "task" it gets acknowledged by the "IsTrigger" with the box collider, then what do i need to do to make a mini game appear on the screen but still rendering the scene behind it (the actual game)

Probably a separate scene rendered by a separate camera either onto a viewport directly or to a render texture, but it's impossible to tell for sure without asking them ( or reverse engineering the game)

Thanks for replying! I appreciate it.
Do you by any chance know any tutorials or that topic?

Any tutorial that moves between scenes will give you a good idea of what goes on. The key components are having some way to keep persistent stuff going between scenes, usually a Game Manager type of construct, and then just switch scenes using the Scene Manager. Unity is really set up perfectly for dividing content up this way.
