Question UI animate scale on hover without scripting?

Here is a video of Magicka2 button hover animations they are smooth/Responsive. Is this achievable with Animatons/Animator?

//My atempt. Yeah I can probably improve this a little bit but I just made this scene fast so I could post in here. I've watched a lot of tutorials but couldn't find anything that addresses this. If someone could give me a yes/no to if this is possible or a link to a tutorial or something I would appreciate it.
