Bug UI Anchors not visible in scene view & strange gizmo behavior - Unity 2021.2.2f1

    This is using Unity 2021.2.2f1 in a brand new empty project.

    I've tried solutions looking at many older forum posts and none of their solutions have worked (inspector is in normal mode, inspector is not locked, gizmos are enabled, restarted unity, restarted pc, changed UI layers to default.

    Gizmos On - the selected panel behaves very strangely, the green box does not change size with zoom, and obviously is not displaying the same size as the currently selected red panel.

    Fullscreen Scene - got the anchor points to actually show up (using free aspect game window) but they don't function.

    Can confirm this is still not working in 2021.2.4f1

    It is suggested you post links to the issue tracker and not on fogbugz, since we can read all the previous bug reports (which may or may not be a big deal).

    Search the case number on the issuetracker to see if it exists there (it usually appears there after someone from Unity has replicated the bug).

    @Lurking-Ninja - its not the root gizmo of a spot light. Its the gizmo that should appear at the anchor distance from the light (not at the root of the light).

    There used to be a gizmo at the distance you set from the light - i.e. its orbital point as to which the light orbits around if you were to put it at, for example, 2 . This would allow you to change the position of the light from its "target/orbit" point rather than the lights root position

    You need to add the "light anchor" component to the light, then select the light anchor from the editor. Since the last few builds, the gizmo/handle no longer appears at the target distance

    Ah, okay, I don't use HDRP yet. (Just researched what are you talking about) So I can't tell if it's working or not.
