They are VERY active on Slack. But as it is real-time chat style (millennial IRC for super nerds) it does not have searchable database of possible solutions to problems like a proper forum. When I mentioned that and that the Slack format is not good for beginners I was called out and put down by the community for not understanding the value of Slack. Bit of a toxic environment there.

Yea, I don´t really understand the reasoning behind the slack thing. Felt so closed off for everyone new to uFrame. Anyway I think if it has not already happen (just looking at this forum it seems empty) uFrame will be abandoned booth by users and eventuality by the devs. I guess it just did not fit well with Unity.

It's the new irc for super geeks who always fall for the latest shiny new thing. But uFrame is VERY active there. But it is still S*** for support. There is no searchable history like in a proper support forum.

I just read on the Slack for uFrame that it'll all be Open Sourced because the health of the developer is not so good. Too bad.

Sorry to hear that. Until he gets well its up to us then. I moved over to uFrame ECS I really liked

This video explained how the consept works in Unity. Its truly great I in my opinion.

I am currently having problems getting collections to work in actions. If anyone know good samples docs/videos let me know.

The latest info on Slack is that the whole of uFrame is to be opensourced. This is from Micah, the main guy:

"all uframe repositories / and unity packages have been open source on git hub.. its been a long hard decision, i'll write a more formal mail out to explain more of the decision behind it... But thank all of you for you're continued support"

Those are very sad news, I was wondering what's happening with uFrame, now I know. :(
What's going to happen with the codebase, due to opensourcing? Will someone else be care-taking over and handling pull requests, or are all forks all on their own?

There's not enough interest. It's fading away.

If you fix some of the #if declarations and a dumb UI important bug, the latest version of UFRAME on the asset store is quite stable.

But the problem with the plug-in was never the bugs, it was that sparse documentation. I spent a lot of time on the webs looking for anything related to MVVM, and over the last year and some change, I've slowly gotten comfortable with UFRAME. Now it turns out its no longer supported. Hurray for me.

@BigBite Are you on the Gitter channel for uFrame? It is pretty active. And Entitas seems to be the most active of the ECS frameworks. Along with Zenject and StrangeIoC for the Ioc/DI frameworks. Maybe one of them could replace uFrame MVVM for you. I know that are not MVVM but they still exist for pretty much the same reason.

@TokyoDan Thanks for the suggestions. It's gonna be hard to replace UFrame, the graphing tool allowed you to wire up all of your concerns. Now I'm going to have to do everything by hand if I use one of the suggested frameworks and I don't know if I'm knowledgeable enough to do that. I still hope Uframe MVVM open source gets released so that people can start supporting it.

You might want to check out the uframe gitter chatroom and ask there.

We completed a game using uFrame 1.5. Didn't upgrade to 1.6 as we are already in the middle of development. There are some parts of uFrame that I like, some are annoying like it's hard to rename or delete an element. But overall, I think I'm gonna use it again for our next project. It's just sad that it's discontinued. Here's the game http://store.steampowered.com/app/458630/. It's called Political Animals.
