Hey, Wondering if anybody tried the new ubuntu release with unity? Don't have enough disk space left on my ssd to have an extra playground.. =O
https://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/linux-editor-package-manager-is-missing-on-ubuntu-19-dot-04 So far, got blocked by above ^^
Cool...that should hopefully mean there is nothing that directly messes with Unity... did you look around for "package manager missing"... it seem to have happened before so might not be directly related to Linux/unity 2019: https://forum.unity.com/threads/package-manager-is-missing.557854/
Im using Pop_OS 19.04 (Its based on Ubuntu 19.04) and its working fine. (i cannot create a screenshot when clicking on window tab, but its there trust me) Install all dependencies: sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-0 libsoup2.4-1 libarchive13 libgconf-2-4 libnspr4 p7zip-full tar gzip cpio zip gconf-service lib32gcc1 lib32stdc++6 libasound2 libc6 libc6-i386 libcairo2 libcap2 libcups2 libdbus-1-3 libexpat1 libfontconfig1 libfreetype6 libgcc1 libgconf-2-4 libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 libgl1-mesa-glx libglib2.0-0 libglu1-mesa libgtk2.0-0 libnss3 libpango1.0-0 libstdc++6 libx11-6 libxcomposite1 libxcursor1 libxdamage1 libxext6 libxfixes3 libxi6 libxrandr2 libxrender1 libxtst6 zlib1g debconf npm
I tried installing those dependencies. No dice. Looking in my editor logs (~/.config/unity3d/Unity/Editor/Editor.log), it's giving me an error "No usable version of the libssl was found". When you type "openssl version -a" in your terminal, what version of openssl comes up?
https://forum.unity.com/threads/empty-log-errors-in-2019-1-0f2.669961/ There is a bug report internally but Unity does not officially support 19.04 at this time.
