A short work in progress video of a tyre leaving marks in snow, the system allows for any shape groove to be made to any depth, it makes use of a procedural mesh generated behind the tyre via a basic lofting system.

No not limited to snow, could be used for sand, mud, water or anything where a trail imprint could be left.

flesh on a animated skinned mesh?

    Real impressive pack Spooky!

I see the depth can be changed which is a real cool feature. How would a developer deal with snow drifts - where the snow level is deeper in certain parts - but the tires should still be at the same depth - near the ground.
Example: The developer might want the tire to stay at ground level - but the depth of the snow varies from 6inches to 2feet. So instead of changing the depth at which the tire sinks - the change is in varying height/ depth of the terrain the tire is driving on. Thanks for the explanation.

@RevoX_ - Yes it is very light weight so would be fine on mobile devices.

@theANMATOR2b - In the demo I control the depth manually but in the game environment I have a custom tyre collider which can take into account extra depth info from height maps, a texture or even just a noise source to change how soft the ground is which is also used by our tyre deformation system.
