I've been playing with TPS BR to practice network technologies and was stumped when trying to use the provided animations on a new character model. I created a simple animation controller that just goes to a jogging animation and when I apply it to the new model it gets twisted in weird ways.

I've tried various things, like redoing the bone axis and re-exporting from blender, to renaming the bones to match the previous rig's bone names, to trying various rigging options in unity. I just can't seem to find why different portions of the model are twisted in weird ways, like the head turning about 90 degrees.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

UPDATE: It looks like the bones in the model that was given has a bunch of crazy rolls in the bones. In turn, this gave a lot of weird rotations to the animations that were provided by TPS BR. Instead of updating the animations I attempted to add the same rolls to the bones in the new model, but that still gave weird deformations. Instead I took the rig out of the original model and added it to the viking model in Blender and I at least got something passable.

I'm going to keep going down this route just to get something up and running to test, but if someone has a better was to match up this model to the animation I'd love to know the proper way to do it.
