Twist bones between forearm and hand?

Whenever my characters hand twists around it looks like his wrist has shrunk. I heard twist bones can fix this but I don't know if the humanoid animation system works with this. What can I do?

There’s a bit of info on it in this blog post - https://blog.unity.com/technology/mecanim-humanoids. Looks like you might have to tweak the muscle settings to improve the twist.

Also there’s this, but it doesn’t look like humanoid can handle the extra twist bones and I think you’d have to have them already skinned to your character.
