I had the same problem, but after I changed the value to "10," it worked.

Sor some reason I cant get through tutorial 1. on page 4 it asks to select the player game object.
Fair enough. I clicked it, it turns blue like in the example, and now what? I can't click anything else, but I can't click next either. what am I doing wrong or is it just broken?

I was experimenting the same problem in the tutorial using Windows10 and Unity 2018.4.19f1 (64-bit), changing value to 10 allowed me to continue the tutorial. Tanks!

Прошло два года, а урок всё так же сломан. Походу автоматом заменяет числа а числа с запятой, которая в юнити точка. А различные локали заменяют на запятую. Или ХЗ

The proble is because the regional setings to solve this in windows you have to change on settings -> time&language -> region and select a format that uses . (dot) instead of , (comma) for the decimal representation

Every time i get to a point in the tutorials where i am forced to submit/publish a project, it does no work properly and i am often locked out of learn.unity.com for a period of time afterwords. I cannot readily find a place or form to submit bug reports about the learning website. I can say though, it is a mess. I am sure they are working on it, but when you are blocked by learning tech, from the company that made the tech, it makes you wary about the tech.

This one helped me. Also, I had to make the file to "read-only", because unity changed "m_TargetValue" to1.0 every time tutorial started
