Can someone from Unity please look into whether it would it be possible to split the official samples up in to separate projects? Having them all in one mega-project with separate scenes may promote reuse, but I found it really confusing. I ended up rebuilding them from scratch just to figure out what was going on.

It would be great if there were a really simple "minimal" sample project that was all by itself. Then, a series of more sophisticated, separate projects for each demo.

I found these small projects from Tarık Çetin helpful for getting started: https://github.com/starikcetin/Learning-Unity-ECS

These vids from Charles A Mat are also a really good starting point:

Well that is one good way of learning.

The thing is, these projects reuse common systems. Is to highlight, what can be done, as reusability.
However, since ECS is its preview state (not for production), everything is changing dynamically. Some features are added, some removed. Therefore keeping separate repository for each project, would become very soon mess and hard to maintain for Unity staff. It would do more bad than good.

In one single project with multiple scene, it is easier to update, as ECS progress go.
Forum is probably up to date with information of current changes, and where is heading

If you post on forum, surely someone will guide in right direction.

Yeah, I get that, I really do. Still a barebones hybrid project and another for pure ECS would not be so hard to maintain. It would make it easier to get started.

Sure. But I do expect such tutorials pop up more, toward the stable release date.
Unfortunately, I am rather skeptical, to happen before then.

I think what you can, is always search and then ask for certain keywords on forum, if struggle, while trying follow current examples.
