Turn low poly mesh and normal map into high poly mesh for 3D printing?

Is there a way to produce a high poly mesh from a normal map and a low poly mesh? Maybe in Blender? I've been thinking that it would be neat to 3D print some of my game models but if I just use the low poly mesh, I will miss a fair bit of detail. Thanks in advance.

You can try to convert normal to a heighfield map / displacement map and use this on your low poly, that you subdivide 4x - 6x times and apply this map on it. Blender or other 3d app can handle this.

Thanks, getting a height map should be easy enough in Substance Designer or Painter.

Another way to do this, is to bring in your low poly 3d model into Blender
and add a few subdivision surface modifiers, onto it.
Then, quickly sculpt away some details onto the low poly object.

Note: In Blenders sculpt mode, you can use a normal map, as a scuplting
brush and add in all sorts of details, onto your 3d objects.
