    When I went out to look at today's 24 hour sale asset, I realized that it was the only one of your assets that hadn't been lurking on my wish list for months. Two of them were on sale today, so I said, "Aw, to heck with it!" and just grabbed them all. This should give me a nice variety of new foliage to play with in my current project, which was looking a little repetitive.

    I think you will have enough choices of Grasses to play with in your Project :)

    I just now played quickly with the Flooded Grounds Asset Scene Demo, then added 14 Grass only as Detail Meshes from the RUSTIC Grass Asset, then screenshotted a few:









    What I love for example with the RUSTIC Grass Asset, it is than it can fit a lot of different kind of Games Styles! from Post-Apo, Realistic to Fantastic etc..it is really easy to custom it!!
    Moreover didn't added a Grass Shader this time which could have still made it a lot of more beautiful!!

    The Flooded Grounds asset isn't applicable to my own project, but I saw it on the Asset Store some time ago, and I was really impressed with the level of detail. Occasionally, I'll see an art asset that makes me think, "I don't need that one for my project, but I wish I had an excuse to buy it!" :)

    Hello @mattis89, yes it react with any shader wind or so which support Textures with Alpha; you can customize too with more maps and using Grass shaders available on the Store !

    There is no shader at the moment with in the Packs.

    Yes, absolutely you can use it with my Grasses, it's an awesome Combo !!

    I shall recommend you too to buy a Prefabs Scatterer as Gena when using the DirectX 11 Grass Shader, I have never tried it differently but I think it's possible too to use it in some others ways :)

    Okay thanks , awesome =) Okay, well I have Gaia... It spawns objects, like trees, stones, villages.. and spawn textures too.. and details like grass and flowers... Can I use Gaia for this Grass And Shader? Stupid questions I know but I want to no for shore, my budget aint that piled...

    Better you ask on the respective Forums :)

    I always used the DirectX 11 Grass Shader using basic Planes Meshes + my Textures, then created Prefabs to spawn them finally with Gena.

    After i read about the ferns update in january i bought it to see better fern objects then just planar textures. I hope it does not take a long time for an update.

    Hello @mattis89 :)

    Never really tried it only few testings, but I think so as it have been already reported to me it is working fine; I think too by using only Billboards + simple or combined Planes (with LODs) coupled with my current Billboards and creating Maps as it is recommended by the AFS Publisher should be give even better results !!

    Using the rustic pack and a lot of the grasses are too green for me. How do I change the colour in Photoshop please.

    There is no any Grass in that video coming from the RUSTIC Grass Pack; anyway;

    In order to adjust in your own tastes the .psd files from the RUSTIC Grass Pack or any others, you simply have to follow these steps:

    1.I open a File with Photoshop, here as an example it is the Rustic Grass_11.psd


    2.I drag the padlock from the Background Layer on the right bottom and drop it in the dustbin to change it to the "Layer 0"


    3.I go the Channels, make sure to add visible the Alpha 1, Ctrl+Left Mouse Click on the RVB Channel


    4.Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V then you have the Layer 1 created


    5.I delete the Layer 0 and keep only the Layer 1 to work with


    6.Then I use any sets from Photoshop to adjust colors, saturation, tint or so like this for example


    7.Again like this too



    To redo and adjust again the Alpha Blending, the Background Color then the Alpha Transparency, I link a Unity Tutorial:

    Hello turboscalpeur,

    Have bought your two Grass packs and would have asked a few

    I am not satisfied with the look of the garden or plants and do not stand out really much from the standard asset, I've seen many screeshots of you in which the Grass a just WOW looks like and with what means can I do it?

    Hello @Twoonebe, I need more specified informations from your Projects using my Assets and how !

    If you are using them simply as Billboards from Terrain Editors, or others? maybe are you using a Grass Shader with in which can be a great addition !

    Could you PM me and maybe I could help you directly in your Projects.

    The current Updates Versions of each Assets are providing exclusively Textures which can be used as they are or coupled with basic Meshes you can directly create in the Unity 5 Engine or with another Assets or with a 3D Soft of your tastes;

    They works too with any Terrain Editor, Grass Shader (maybe with some Files Edits for some Assets) on the Store;

    Moreover in the Updates coming (mostly now about the RUSTIC Grass and FERNS World), you will have directly Custom Meshes (Sculpted or Mixed Planes with LODs or not) ready to use as Prefabs in it, Random Winds and some more features as Grounds, Leaves Particles or Grounds;

    If I purchase these from the asset store can I use them in a different engine? To be clear I mean license/usage-wise, I understand they come packed as a unitypackage.

    You should take a look in the Unity Asset Store FAQ's, I think here:

    Moreover, my Assets are fitted for the Unity 5 Engine and Later Versions.

    I had already read that and did not see anything clearly related to what I'm asking, which is why I asked here. The only thing that I saw that might be related was section 6.1, but that was specific only to SDKs.
    The Rustic Grass textures are what I was interested in purchasing, and they appeared to be PSDs ready to be arranged in a mesh, and should be perfectly usable in any engine.

    Well, as you mention it, my current Textures are in fact in .psd then they can be tweaked/customised with Meshes too; I don't know myself the possibilities/limitations of the rights uses with its;

    To write to the Unity Support could give the answer.

    Effectively, when I'm log off the price is still at 15$, when logging it is at 10$; I think there is a small bug there; I'm writing now to the support.

    There is an internal Team in Unity who choose the Assets which are going to be in Sale, then they purpose you to be in. Then you say yes or not.

    About my Assets, it could happen in some delays but I can not guarantee anything for the moment.
