This will allow for top down views, as from a helicopter?

What type of tree art is to be supplied / used?

Yes, it will be single mode: atlas only, for aerial forest view. Primary for arch-viz, flight simulators, strategy projects.
For RPG\FPS better to use usual tecniques with mesh trees, when visual of tree is important at near distance.

Think will finish it this week, but it will be in store later.
Current working on trees models and attenuation, looking on trees in real world and trying to make it all more realistic

made special volume cloud leafs rendering for TF trees, this tree is about 500k triangles, to make leafs part more dense, as it on aerial view photos.

Hello Aily, is there a way to prevent trees from facing camera in x and z directions, just editing the shader?
Kind of a solution to this problem:
I currently edited the shader in order to only show one sprite no matter the position, if it's okay with you, I can attach here the simplified shader...

This was quick fix for one of TF users, it works, but not best way, shader need another facing concept, and its done in new version (still in dev state)

    1. Add this script in scene, its sending to shaders main camera roll angle inverce matrix each frame.
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4YY3BeumSecemdIV0xTQnlXYUk/view?usp=sharing
    2. Replace this shader in TurboForest\Shaders folder

And must work, if you hurry :)

Warning - shader will not work without CameraHelper script.
Roll fixed only for atlas mode.

Thank you very much Aily! I downloaded the files and added it. But the TF shader I have does not include reference to the CGInc File, so I'm trying to adapt it someway =) I reall appreciate your help!
    EDIT
I adjusted my shader according to the cginc instruction! It works perfectly!! You are A W E S O M E man!
Just a question, I use it on mobile... is this new matrix calculated within TFCameraHelper somehow heavy on performance?

Hi! TF3 feature list so far sounds extremely sweet. Any chance we see release this month?

That feature with multiple shadowcasting lights - do you use deferred rendering for that?

    That would be really awesome.

So, just like with the usual forward rendering, it will cost a pass per each light affecting forest? Is it theoretically possible to adjust system to proper deferred rendering or I'm better off ensuring proper spatial packing of forest chunks
