Bug Trying to build Android app, Failed, "'android.useAndroidX' property is not enabled" when it is

    Whenever I build, I get a Build Failure saying "This project uses AndroidX dependencies, but the 'android.useAndroidX' property is not enabled. Set this property to true in the gradle.properties file and retry."

    In Assets/Plugins/Android/mainTemplate.gradle, I have "it.setProperty("android.useAndroidX", true)". Is this even the file the error was talking about?

    There's also a "gradleTemplate.properties.DISABLED" in the same folder as "mainTemplate.gradle" but I don't know if that has to do with anything.

    I have "Custom Main Gradle Template" checkmarked in my Project Settings.
    I also have "Development Build" checkmarked in my Build Settings.
    Editor version is 2021.3.18f1
    Unity Hub version is 3.4.1
    I have almost no clue what I'm doing, just going off what I'm seeing other people do in the forums.

    I've also tried creating a new project, building it as an Android app and it seems to work fine.

    Fixed!

    I made a new project, copied the entire Assets folder over from the original project to the new one, and Unity seemed to re-import or reconstruct all the necessary files on its own.

    ^One solution that involves editing the projectname>Assets>Plugins>Android>gradleTemplate.properties file and enabling all the gradle options in project settings. Worked on 2021.3.8f1. triggered by adding Firebase?
