    Hi Magison,

I sent you a PM but not sure if you had received it. Here is another message explaining a bit more in detail after playing with the package.

Very nice package, I was wondering if it's possible to interact with the gears in runtime. For example, instead of the motor turning the gears, it would be great if the user can interact with any of the gears directly.

One the reasons that real gears is so fascinating and interesting is that one can "Play" with the gears directly by turning any of the gears and observing how the turning of one gear affect the others.

If this feature is currently not include in the package, may I make a request to add this feature in a future update. If this feature will not be added, could you provide some tips as to how I can extend the package to make this possible.

    Thank you in advance.

Really enjoying playing with the Gear package. Very nice.

Do you plan to add Worm Gears in the future ?

    Thanks.

    Hello rocki,
yes i want to add worm gears, but with the technique i use to gernerate the gears, it is not possible.
I have to do it procedurally. I wrote a "Procedural Gear" script for standard gears for now.
With this you can create gears including a body with as many parts as you want to create complex gears with shafts in one object.
The script includes an uv editor to fit the correct mapping on each part. An automatic mapping option is also there. You can change all parameters by WYSiWYG on the fly.
If this script it ready for release, i will try the worm gear.

    Hello rocki,

sorry that i overlook your question above.

If you want to rotate another gear but the motor, you have to set this gear as the motor.
Set the ´Gear Type´ of all gears to ´gear´ (with a foreach(TransMission tm in gears)....) and then set only the gear you want to manipulate/rotate to ´motor´. After that do a ´TransMission.Autopath()´.
Now another gear can drive the transmission.

If you only want to rotate one gear without rotating the other gears, just use the Unity transform.Rotate(x,y,z) method.

Also you can ´observe´ the rotation. If you want to change the rotation of a gear in relation to another gear, you can use the ´observer´ script.
Add this script to one gear and set the target to an other gear. Now the first gear will follow the rotation of the second gear. Look the ´Observer_Demo´ for this.

    Hello re_sudan,
to use this tool you need Unity. You can download it for free here.
After installation of Unity download Transmission Gear Tool here from the Asset Store.
This tool is at 5$ low price. There is no lite- or test- version available.
