Transfer quadruped FBX animations for mecanim?

    Hello, I have a quadruped fbx model with animations, and then a newer version of the character, with no animations but the same bone structure and skin weights. In mecanim, at least with humanoids, retargeting these animations is easy. With animals, not so much. Anyone know the easiest way to handle this? I can't figure out how to copy the animations between models in maya, which I guess would be ideal, since they are baked FBX animations... any thoughts on how to deal with this?
