    Selective pixelation effect per object.
    You define which objects to pixelate with an individual variable.
    Works on mobile and desktop.
    Compatible with Single Pass Stereo Rendering.
    Compatible with GPU Instancing.

    It works with any unity provided shader including the standard ones as well as any custom shaders which follow unity RenderType naming schemes.

    Pixelation is occluded properly with any of the above mentioned shaders.

    There is a new update on the way which includes minor bug fixes and make the package compatible with VR Single pass stereo rendering.
    New update Works 2017.2 and onwards only.

    I do not intend to support previous versions, so make a backup copy.

    Just submitted the new v2.0 update to the AssetStore. It will take some days until it will be alive on the Assetstore, but you can also buy it right now from TOZ Market.

    Check the new webgl demo to see it in action.

    Does this asset work with the Lightweight Render Pipeline? Can it be used for lit or unlit 2D with LWRP?

    Render Pipelines are not supported as they are all currently in beta stage.

    It can be used for lit or unlit 2d or 3d with the standard rendering.

    Hi! I was looking for a solution allowing me to swap 3d models with a "sprite-like" renders in real time for a "demaked" FPS game similiar to:

    And then I found your asset.
    How heavy is it performance wise?
    The game is meant to be mobile and mobile VR friendly (with Wolfenstein3d / Project Warlock style of environment) - is there any "penalty" on the number of game objects / meshes I would like to pixelate like this?

    It works on mobile and vr, it works on the pixels currently on screen. So the more objects the more processing, to compensate you will eventually have some object pooling and as you said it's a mobile game you wont have thousands of pixelated objects on screen at once.

    So, the final performance is up to you.
