Hi Unity team! We are getting what look like very high usage for Total daily play time per active user on our webGL content:

    SP.PNG

So sometimes up to three hours at a time. This could very well be the case, - we have an educational app that requires deep study and perhaps prolonged sessions, but the numbers surprised even us.

Are you able to offer any more details on how it is calculated?
    What are it's weak points?
If a user leaves a browser tab open does the session continue indefinitely until the tab is closed?

    Any insight greatly appreciated!

I have asked the team, and waiting on an answer.

I was wondering the same! Along with is it possible to find out about total daily play time by using the raw data?

My goal is to create a separate dashboard somewhere else but could not figure out how Unity Analytics itself calculate session time or play time metrics.

Yep to all the above, and still waiting. In the meantime, if you are able to test, it would help. Unfortunately the only way to actually test would likely be to create a separate project with you as the only user, and track your browser session and observe the results in the Dashboard. Granted an answer would help, also!

Heard back, the play time session will continue until the tab is closed.
