TOP SECRET: Next OtEE tutorial production rumoured

This is rumor control. We have the facts:

We managed to sneak into the OtEE war room (also know as the slightly messy flat Joe Nicholas share) and get this exclusive footage from the planning and design of the next Unity Tutorial.

Take a look at the attached video.

We are not quite sure what is going on here, and were forced to retreat from the premises. Rest assured that we will spare no effort in finding out what this is all about. Keep reading for our next installment in this ongoing saga.

At last some new dance steps from OTEE coming in the intuitive tutorial format you'd expect. Screw shadows, visual shader system, networking, whatever. I want more choreography.

I think it is a top secret new animation system!! Make a character, connect cameras to your mac, dance around in front of them and watch your character do the same dance in Unity with full boned animations.

Or maybe they are going to make a dacing game where you have to beat on stuff with a shiny stick. Mosh Mosh Revolution

 

No, no, that was an animation produced in Unity. OTEE are giving us a sneak peak at the graphics in Unity 2.0. As you can see, they're still working on shadows.

I hope the fully skinned Nicholas model will be included!

I wish that was the case. Unfortunately Nicholas is only making me realize how weak my animations actually are for this project so far . But on the bright side this frantic exhibition of his will hopefully get my butt in gear to make the tutorial animations that much better. Here's hoping that I can live up to his example :wink:!

 

I'll have what he's having! On second thought.... Double it!
