Feedback Too many default packages and arrive out of date!

So I just want control of the package manager - has it improved since 2018.4 LTS?
Because right now starting a new project is mainly a bad experience because of the packages!!
You get loads of packages included by default which you do not need/want and then you go to remove them and find some are not on latest version anyway and they are slow to delete.
