Hello, i've been working on this project for 5 months now, and I'm proud to showcase it here.
    https://tom-tom.itch.io/toms-tower-defense (PC)
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Char3Studio.TomsTD (Android)
I hope you will like it ;)
It is a solo game, mostly made for mobile but still playable on PC.

    Here are some images:

The core gameplay is obviously very Tower Defense based, but the Electric system will add challenge, such as Zones and Turret Health system... etc
The game has a definitive upgrade system.
It contains a Level Editor for you to play with, and share to me or your friends.
Of course losing is part of the game but you can still revive yourself (Android Only).

Thanks for reading! (And downloading if so) You can talk with me here or at this thread :

The art looks very unfinished. Might hard to catch players eyes.
Just the most basic tiling art + The most basic UI art, quite boring.

    For your suggestion:
Try to make the art as close as this art direction as you can.

If you successfully reached the quality above, try to improve it into this.

I guaranteed your game will have more exposure than now.;)

    Thanks for your support !
But I don't want my game to be like that, I'm not a graphic designer, my game needs to be representative and fun.
The level editor requires simplicity in level design (Tilemap).

The reality is, people see art first, then only see gameplay. First impression.
Your art must reach a certain standard to catch people eyes.
Standard means a very solid art direction. (Not fancy)

I'm not a programmer too, I'm from artist background, but I almost coding everyday.
Just to learn and keep learning. Now I get it, I can do both. Cool.
Not only that, I got learn other stuffs too such as rigging, music composition...
Shaders, visual effects, particles, job system, marketing, player psychology etc...

You might think why not just hire people to do it.
Not because of money but everything you had learned, it's yours.
Good for solo, as well as team work.
You know what is everybody doing, technically.
    Hence easier communication too.

The more you know, the more quality game you can make.
Hope my message got motivate you.

While first impression plays critical role, I actually like simplicity of the game look.
But to win audience, OP need provide fun content.
Basically more than average TD can provide already.
