UGUI, Input, whatever it may be: I cannot copy FROM the field:

The result is either nothing (a blank clipboard) or missing values that are Unicode. This esp. makes it a struggle to copy things that may need changing. Let's say I didn't know how to read/type Chinese, so I need to copy it to Google Translate for a rough idea what this means. Or if I am asked to type the string (not a screenshot) to a translator or to paste in a Google Sheet.

*To clarify: I can copy Unicode TO the field

This is an issue in the Editor which I believe has been fixed.

I just testing in the latest 2018.4 / 2019.2 and 2019.3 and it appears to be working as expected.

See if you get the same behavior in those latest releases. If you still have the issue, copy / paste the specific characters that don't appear to be working.

Good to hear ~ Ah, any hacky way to get this into 2019.1? 2019.2 breaks some stuff - it's going to take a while before we're at a safe point to experiment with a new version. Remember how often I was in this forum section when we upgraded to to 2019.1? Whew, the main point of that upgrade was to fix some bugs, ironically :p it's on a live game, so it's a bit nerve-wracking and 2018 stable was pretty lacking back then.

Looks like the fix involved some manage side fix in the Editor as well as native code... Are you on the last / latest 2019.1?

P.S. Off to sleep since it is almost 2:00am but I'll check back and follow up tomorrow.
