I just wanted to ask for your opinion about the title of a new book on Unity that I will be releasing shortly.

I will be releasing a new book series on Unity that will take readers from no knowledge of Unity or coding to being comfortable with some of Unity's core functionalities and coding, along with and more intermediate/advanced topics.

I am making good progress and I'm completing the last chapters; however, I'm still struggling with the title. Would you mind telling me if any of these titles appeal to you or (even better) if you have a title that you think would be better?

    The current ideas are:
    • From Zero to Hero
    • Becoming Comfortable with Unity
    • Learn Programming and Game Development with Unity 5
    • Learn and Enjoy Game Development with Unity 5
How do these sound to you...?

"From Zero to Hero" is too vague, but the others are too long. They'd be good as subtitles, but not for the main title.

Fortunately for me my publisher already had a title in mind from the beginning :p Everything inside my book I came up with, but the title was basically assigned to me because they already had a series of "____ in Action" technical books.

This is an indie project. I have worked with publishers in the past; however, I found that I always wanted to add more sections/content that could really benefit the reader, but that I was often constrained by the format and length imposed. So, this project gives me more flexibility, including for the title.
What About "Create Your First Game with Unity 5: A step-by-step guide to get started with Game Development"?

Why does it have to be long? "From Zero to Hero - Unity 5". It could be the first in a series of books (ie "From Zero to Hero - Blender 2.7" and similar). Assuming you wanted to continue the series. ;)

Good Point: yes, I plan on continuing the series. There are actually two books in this current series (e.g., Level 1 and Level2), and you are right, other software are also in the pipeline. So "From Zero to Hero: Unity 5" maybe?

or title= "From Zero to Hero: Unity 5 (Level 1)" or "From Zero to Hero: Unity 5 (Foundations)"
subtitle= A step-by-step guide to create your first game with Unity

or title= "From Zero to Proficiency: Unity 5"
    subtitle= A step-by-step guide to create

Each series could then evolve from Foundation, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced or Levels 1/2/3/4
    What do you think...

Do you want the 5 in your title? Unity 6 won't be that far away.

I don't think you need to jam as many keywords into the title as you're trying to do. Reminds me of the App Store.

Why not just name it "From Zero of War to Crossy Hero: Learn and Enjoy Flappy Game Development with Clash of Unity 5 While Becoming Comfortable Crush with Learning Programming Soda Saga and Angry Game Development 2048"?

Thanks to all of ye for the feedback. Yes, the title seriously needed to be shortened (Good point Scheneider21). So, after several attempts, the final title will be:
"Unity 5 From Zero to Proficiency".
The book cover is on the way, so if you would like to give feedback on the cover you think would be best, you can see all four of them here.
    Thanks again for the feedback.
