    Running i3-gaps on Arch Linux.
Using Unity 2019.1.2f1 and 2019.1.0f2, dropdowns and hint text aren't being cleared when the mouse is moved. This results in "ghost" dropdowns covering the screen until the editor panels are forcibly repainted by hovering over them, e.g hovering over the viewport.

This issue is not present in 2018.4 LTS. It also persists on herbstluftwm, another tiling WM. This bug makes the editor nigh-unusable.

Are there any screenshots of this issue?

Had the same bug happen to me also. Arch i3-gaps on my setup as well.

Installing Unity-editor through AUR first then installing a new version and launching it through UnityHub fixed the menu repaint bug. So it might be some missing dependencies as well.

Switched to Ubuntu, still having the same issue even after installing all dependencies.
