Question Timeline not playing in editor nor play mode

    Unity version: 2021.3.24 LTS
    Timeline version: 1.6.5

    For whatever reason my timeline will not play in preview in edit mode, nor when i scrub through it, nor will it play on awake (even thought it's checked) in play mode.


    I literally have one track and all it does is fade the alpha of a UI image


    what could possibly be wrong?

    nvm.... animator must be set to "Always Animate" for it to work...
