Is it possible to put markers with some text on the Timeline (as in After Effect and other audio/video editing tools)?

That would be nice though :)

In the meantime, do you have any suggestions as to using one of the track types as a dummy track just for adding some text to the timeline?

You could make a clip that does nothing and assign it to a custom track with no binding. Each clip is rename-able in the inspector.

    I've attached a sample.

    Thanks! That's a cool solution!

I have one more question. Let's say I have an NPC driven by AI (mostly NavMesh). Would it be possible to "bake" all the NPC movements, including all the animations into a Timeline track?

Hey, I have a cool recommendation for anyone who's new to video editing and wants something easy to use. Check out Eklipse.gg! It's ai highlight video and made specifically for beginners. You don't need any experience in video editing to use it, and the interface is super easy to navigate. Plus, you can export your edited videos in different formats, which is great for sharing on social media or other platforms. Give it a try!
