Welcome to the Timeline experimental beta & Cinemachine forum.

One thing you may have noticed is that there is no download available yet for Timeline itself. Don't worry - we are working hard to get the first experimental build out the door and are hoping to have the first builds available very soon!

In the meantime, we are very excited to announce the launch of Cinemachine free for all users. Cinemachine is available for production work TODAY and ready to integrate into your projects! Integration with Timeline will be coming very soon after Timeline's launch, making an extremely powerful 1-2 punch of features to super charge your cinematics and movie making with Unity.

    Enjoy!

Is Timeline still expected to make it into 5.6?

It is not. As Mike mentioned a first experimental build is to be expected soon which also means it is not ready for beta yet.
And we won't be adding major features late into the 5.6 beta.

But you can use the experimental build to give feedback to the guys and make timeline better before it is released.

Thanks. Wish I had the time to try it out -- but I was sold after Mike's Unite presentations!

Yes unfortunately we did not make the release schedule for 5.6. The beta will be based on the same codebase, but won't be merged into the mainline code until the subsequent version.

Any ETA on when the Timeline build will be available? Are we expecting a couple of hours? days? weeks?

Days rather than weeks (disclaimer: stuff might happen).

    Hey guys,
I was wondering if, with an adapted UI I could build a simplified runtime version of the timeline editor?
the purpose would be an application that give the user the ability to put animations and audio on a track,
and edit/blend/mix them (I only need one track).
Then I would export the result as a video or a serialized version of the whole Playable.

    Thanks
