It's great that you added support for audio playback while scrubbing on the Timeline, but would it be possible to change the behaviour so the playback pitch isn't affected by the cursorspeed when you'r scrubbing? I'm sure this is not the behaviour most users want? In Keijiro's custom Audio Preview Track it's working great and played back at same pitch no matter how fast or slow you scrub.

@seant_unity - Any thoughts on this?

Thanks again for the Timeline fixes and new features in 2018.2!

Keijiro's version works by playing short chunks of audio at standard pitch wherever the cursor is scrubbed to. As you scrub, it just keeps spitting out short chunks of playback wherever the cursor was last.

2018.2 version works by tracking the exact position and velocity of the cursor and adapting playback rate to the scrub speed.

We may consider including an optional pitching shifting effect to the scrubbing to invert the pitch changes but maintain playback rate.

Thanks for the reply @wkaj, an option for toggling the possibility to maintain the playback rate would be nice!

Also would you guys consider assigning the scroll wheel hotkey to scrolling vertically in the Timeline instead of extending/contracting the timeline view (horizontally)? This would be more consistent with the existing behaviour in Unity. You could use ALT+SCROLLWHEEL instead for extending/contracting, or similar.
