Timefreeze effect within specific range around an object

    I am trying to have something build where on clicking a specific gameobject I am able to slow down events happening within a specific range as in probably a sphere, while all the other gameobjects and environment outside the sphere continue to perform the usual stuff at usual speed. I used deltaTime to achieve slowing down effect on all objects so far, not sure how to preserve the environment within a range around the specific game object. Any leads would be of great help.
