Tiled maps to Unity

    I have made some Tiled (using the Tiled map editor) maps. They are about 40x40 tiles and 20 files in total. Their filesize is less than 500kb each. But for some reason when I drag them into unity it takes up 5GB of space on the harddrive. And I can not understand why, most of it seem to end up in the Library folder.

    Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

    Update: If I remove the files from the project assets, I still do not get the space back. I guess I have to delete the Library folder to free up that space again. What is unity doing? xD

    Library contains EVERYTHING necessary to instantly drop into PLAY mode when you press PLAY

    Most likely it is something else other than your tiles taking up 5gb

    unity does not support tiled. if you are using a 3rd party prgram you should complain to them not to unity
