If I use a hexagonal tile map, the palette still uses rectangles. With the square tile maps I can select multiple parts for larger blocks which are made of multiple tiles. I can do this with hex tiles as well, but there are 2 problems:

    1. I don't see the full shape of the larger block in the palette, only distorted because of the gaps

    2. If I use the brush to paint such a larger block on a hexmap, it places it on different positions, depending on if y is odd or even

Is it possible to change the palette and tile drawing to hex mode?

In Preview3, you will be able to use hex tilemaps in the palette.
