Third Person Engine - [Official Thread]

    TPC Engine is good optimized, perhaps there are other scripts or components on the scene that degrade performance.
    We tested the TPC Engine on a much weaker configuration, it's worked good.

    In TPC Engine Multiplayer used Photon PUN 2.

    Most likely you have something not configured. We have replied you by mail if you have any error please send the error text or a screenshot.

    Hi,

    I just want to say that Although I haven't spent a lot of time with this product, I am finding it to be very useful and good in helping me achieve my working prototype. I even got it to work with Unet for multiplayer with a little rethinking and some additional code.

    Thank you. I chose to work with Unet instead of Pun for my prototype just because I know it better than PUN. I was very happy everything seemed to fall into place when I was making it Unet compatible.

    I was also able to add a toggle to swap between the free and strafe movement for the player. I don't consider myself to be a very good programmer but I was able to follow and adjust as needed to make this work.

    I look forward to more updates as they become available.

    It is difficult to say because the update is very large, we will announce a date a few days before release.

    where is the photon scene, buy the full version and it does not contain the photon scene >:C

    Hello, i'm having problems to use the Third Person Engine. I have the following error:

    Assets\TPC Engine\PostProcessing\Editor\PropertyDrawers\MinDrawer.cs(6,34): error CS0104: 'MinAttribute' is an ambiguous reference between 'UnityEngine.PostProcessing.MinAttribute' and 'UnityEngine.MinAttribute'

    This looks like a great asset, I've spent a ton of money on character controller assets so I'm hopeful about this one. The hands are messed up in the demo when you pick up the cube, is this a bug that has been fixed?

    @Tamerlan_S_ You can help me ? I'm trying to convert your asset with Mirror (This is an asset that replaces UNet) and I'm looking to use your asset, but I do not know how to make it compatible. Can you help me ? Thank you !

    At the moment, the TPC Engine supports photon-based multiplayer, but it still in the beta. At the moment we are focused on updating the engine itself. I think after the update, we’ll take a more detailed look at the update for the multiplayer sdk.

    You just can rotate IK hand pivots.

    are you going to include weapons soon like unreal fps which i own....i would like to use it for a new project

    Yes, but it will be separate asset, because TPC Engine is a pure character template, which you can expand as you like.

    Do we have an ETA on when the update will be released? When I asked you said it would be out in a few days however that was 2 weeks ago. I'd like to make changes to this controller in my project but want to do so on the updated version. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello, we are polishing the update to make it as stable as possible, and we have added even more new features some of them: improved the camera system, completely updated the system of damage from falling now it has become realistic and physics based damage is not applied relative to the heigh, now it applied relative to the speed.
    About ETA it is difficult to name the exact date by day, but we will release an update in the near future because the main system is ready now we are polishing the mobile and multiplayer part.

    Please note: Third Perosn Character Engine Mobile and Third Person Character Engine Multiplayer [Alpha] is deprecated! Now all integrations and Addons will be included in the main asset. That is, now there will be no divisions into different assets. All those who purchased Third Perosn Character Engine Mobile or Third Person Character Engine Multiplayer [Alpha] can contact us and we will provide link on new Third Person Engine version.

    hi
    when i play mobile controler joystick work fine with mouse, but when i touch the joystick to move, camera also move. are this is a bug ?

    Hello, I can't seem to get walking to function - I have tried to change the 'Light Walk' keybind however my character still only run or sprint.

    Also, how do I change the animations as the default locomotion animations dont fit very well to my character.
