    Hi there,

Local volumetric clouds + directional light does not make sun shafts, while volumetric fog is enabled. :D
I think I tried every options, but there was not any result. I hope to see this bug fixed next update.

    appreciate any kind of help/advice.

Last I checked it was working, not sure If I tested with local though

make sure: Max fog height is set to a very high value (2000~)
volumetric fog distance is set to a very high value (try 500-1500)
finally set the directional light in a spot where sun shafts are expected, with enough cloud coverage

You can also increase volumetric light output from the directional light (default 1)

Check that volumetric clouds have shadows enabled and they're set to a high enough resolution and distance. Set some very high values just for testing.
I would also set fog distances to even higher values (10000 or more). Fog quality also needs to be set somewhat high, and setting fog attenuation distance too low is not good either, try attenuation set to 10000.

Some settings may be hidden, check the 3 dot menu to the right of the Fog/Clouds sections and enable "Show additional properties".
