    Hello,

I recently purchased an HTC Thunderbolt (http://www.androidbenchmark.net/phone.php?phone=HTC+ThunderBolt) to test out my game. Not too surprisingly, it does have some lag/bug issues, but I think I can work around it. My concern is that I can't see my game running on devices worse than this.

So, anyways, what is the absolute worst android device that I should consider when optimizing my game?

    Thanks!

Often the problem people have with older Android devices isn't performance, it's compatibility (usually stuff breaking because of bad drivers). To that end, you want to look at devices that are really popular but also old (which can mean both old drivers and slower hardware). The Samsung Galaxy S3 and the older Note tablets seem like popular, but problematic hardware.

What's wrong with Samsung Galaxy S3? I have an S3 mini and my game runs like butter on it, and my previous phone ran my previous prototype which was very poorly optimized surprisingly well.

There's nothing fundamentally wrong with them, and YMMV. The issues I see most are issues like this one.
