Sliders are still too clumsy when working with them in the editor, I can't undo most of the changes made to the Fill and Handle images (like move for example), also if you change their anchors for something that is not like this:

when you play, their transforms gets completely messed and you can't undo. It's also too hard to change the scale of the handle (hitting "Set Native Scale"), you can only use the scale that comes in the slider presets, if you change, when you enter play mode everything gets messed and you can't undo those changes made in runtime too.

Also, sometimes you apply changes to the prefab that a slider you were working in is nested, the slider handle resets to the center of the slider area!

I suggest you report a bug on the rect transforms getting messed up -issue, and explain how it hurts your development. I've experienced it also. The system should remember your original intention for the rect transform sizes, and should, for example, put that back, if you disable layouting or etc. This definitely happens, I think, when you use some form of layouting, and then disable that -- your original size, position and so on that you painstakingly set for the rect transform is now gone and replaced by the layout stuff's settings that it gave it, and you can't get your original settings back after disabling the layout. Indeed the effect of any layouting should be temporary only! -- Also sometimes when you change the resolution settings in the player, things get messed up, and it is definitely not a nice thing to happen.

I'll report a bug, I can't believe I'm the only one getting these strange issues!
The biggest annoyance is when you have a slider that is child of a prefab, also there is something that is driving me crazy, when you put the slider handle in a position (to match its size there should be an offset from the fill position) and when you play it goes back to somewhere else, sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesn't, it's really hard to create a repro project since things are really inconsistent.
and... this is road blocking for me:
