The Unity site theme

I'm not sure what's the proper forum to complain about the Unity site colors and layout, so I'll just do it here.

First of all, I still have PTSD from the new forum experiment last summer. I honestly don't remember if those light colors and thin but oversized fonts were used on the beta/patch download sites before, but right around when Unite LA started, I noticed I could no longer read the patch notes without my eyes burning in their sockets. Am I imagining things or was the theme changed? This makes me afraid the forum might be coming back too and that the person who designed the colors is still working and didn't learn anything from the earlier fiasco.

Please keep the site readable!

 

You are right. The font color went from rgb(69, 84, 99) to the lighter grey rgb(90, 90, 91). The font family was changed from Open Sans to Roboto.

I also think the old one is much more readable. Although I slightly prefer the less saturated blue/cyan color bar at the top of the new site.

 

There are a few custom themes floating around from the lithium days. You could try one of them.
