The Smudge Tool is awesome

    Just had to carve a river through the terrain for my game prototype. But it was too smooth, I didn't bother to use jitter for the quick test. But turned out I wanted to keep it and had to adjust the smooth-ness. So I gave the Smudge Tool a try. I have to say it's awesome to drag out fine details, more stuff like this please :D

    Awesome. How did you implement your river?

    That's just Crest Ocean HDRP and a terrain, i. e. has no flow direction. But I don't need it currently at the speed I'm gliding over the terrain :D

    I have to say it turned out quite well in the end. Added a bit of hydraulic erosion as well. One could do more with the Terrain Tools. A lot more! But for the speed I aimed at here it sufficed :) Using mostly smudge, smooth and erosion tools:
