Unity announced a partnership with Google and shared a sexy roadmap with things like open source matchmaking server and ECS realtime networking sample.

But in the FAQ, it says the main difference with UNET is the focus on hosted servers architecture (versus the P2P one).

So if anyone from Unity read this and since the announcement asks for feedbacks, i'd ask what's the idea for the P2P games in regards with your big new cool plans for Unity multiplayer ? Some of us devs are waiting for so long to know what UNet will become since its "abandon" and this new step isn't very clear about what it's going to change for us.
