The naming "albedo"

    Why did Unity choose this strange name? I just cannot get friendly with it.
    Perhaps an explanation would help.

    Seems like "Colormap" would have been a better choice. But I suppose it doesn't really matter, does it? :)

    Hmmm, yes, I think ColorMap would have been better.
    But yes, in the end, it does not mattter.
    I was only thinking that if Unity changed "Diffuse" to "Albedo", they would have chosen something more distinct. Again, in the end it does not matter.
