Really great video Botumys, you clearly understand how to place objects and textures and not have it be just random. You definitely need to know how plants and rocks affect their surroundings and it was nice to see in that video that you took care to add those details in the right places; its definitely what will make it stand apart from other environments that are randomly generated these days

Nice shot, you've come a long, long way since your earlier threads. Lighting is hugely improved, one might tweak the colour balancing a little, but really that would be just down to personal taste. I think the scene could benefit from some large scale and very subtle bloom, but again it's subjective. The telephone poles look a little short too, but I guess they come in a few shapes and sizes.

Would love to see some images without S***ty JPEG compresion too! Perhaps host stuff on Minus.

    Great work!

Absolutely. I'm glad he got around to releasing a video. Now I'm just waiting on a web player.

Yes. I'd love to see high-res images.

    Thx !
About lighting, I tweak it each time I open unity but this zone will be visited by the player during night :) I use a daylight temporary.

@Billowe you right, objects scaling are not 100% correct. I'll adjust.

For images quality, if you right click on them, you can open in a new tab in full resolution.

I haven't read through all of this, but will we be able to use it commercially (with credit of course)?

That's odd, now I can see it. Maybe it has to do with the browser that we are using.

What's the reason for the vertical flip? Has this to do with the splat/normal/color map?

How big is your Terrain in WM?

    1) Because I'm using world machine to generate splats and heigtmap. But to merge splat and heightmap in unity you have to flip one or the other..
    2) If I remember well , I created a 2km/2km terrain.

To everybody Thx for nice words !

Unsure about the splat flipping, mine seems to work fine Here's my setup:

I've been working in world machine for awhile. Some ok results but nothing of the stature that you have constructed. Am I able to have your world machine file to learn from? I've seen the pic at the start and the amount of clamp usage scares me just PM me if so :) , its a pity WM doesn't have any standard setups to learn from. (I find it so much easier to learn things from reading/looking)

    Peace,

I modified the Coastal Overlay, all my combiners for the splat are inside that.

Yes! Slender the Arrival used the Autumn Nature Pack and quite frankly, your terrain is 1000000000000000000000s of times better!
