NOTE: The Jump is still in development, most content you currently see is not a final version and will continue to be improved.

    What is this product ?

The Jump is a indie game developed by Spiral-stopmotion Production. We are in very early development of the game, were looking at a mid 2013 release date for the game, but your asking what is this game ? well your in the right place, it's a FPS (First Person shooter) platform game (or platformer) timing and speed means life and death when jumping for your life the key is getting it right but don't think its going to be something easy to play.... because it not we are trying to make this quite a hard and challenging game to master. We have had some testing on our game and some have had trouble with the first level but we love feed back on our game and will change it to what we get back. If you want to be a Alpha testing email us at ceo@spiralstopmotion.com

One of out big things about timing in this game is well the jumping to platform to platform, got to get the speed and timing right or you won't make the jump, but what about moving platforms ? well if your on them for to long its bye bye for your life, that's right you will fall trough them, with this features in the game has proven to make it quite hard and fun.

We are open to feedback to what you say about the game and would love to know what you think about the game features you like and don't like and what features you think we should add.

    The Story (so far)

No memory of who you are, your past or future, all you know is that you have to follow all orders given to you and never question them.

The sound of a voice woke you up from your sleep, on some kind of cuber crater. The voice telling you to find the way out, but hiding something, your a test subject for the government to see if they can sustain the growing population of our world, if you fail you will die along with over half of the human population, the voice try to help you brake you free from your code of silence to stop your program to follow ever order given to you, because he you just stop you with a single order.

Can you brake free and stop the men in power AND JUMP TO FREEDOM

    We love the community !

We are only in very early Alpha and working hard to make a playable alpha demo build for you all to play (that should be coming soon), we welcome feedback on our project, tell us what you like don't like and what you think we should add. We really want to bring the community into this project and help us shape the game to something you like.

Screen shot of the game (early alpha) :

Testing out some trees on the map "Off the sever" (level 4)

Playing around with lens flares on the map "the games start this way" (Level 3)

    Posters/other photos :

Just wanted to point out on the last picture of your first post, it says "WELCOME TO MY WOLD". Should that be "WORLD"?

    Otherwise, looking great :)

Your team has made all the assets or some of them were bought?

Btw, the lighting feels a bit sad for me. Maybe some more color? It may be the style, but I kind of don't like it.

Screens look nice but i think the bloom is a bit over exaggerated, might cause some minor seizures :L
Try to focus on the gameplay before visuals though.

We have been playing around with a basic MainMenu, plus we have the opening cutscene and level 1 compilation cutscene's done. (the might change in the final version) along with that the trailer is almost done and ready for all to see, where just waiting on the Ai scripting to get fished so we have film thoes part of the trailer, the trailer will be a cinematic and gameplay trailer. So stay stuned for the Trailer and a Alpha build for you to play.

    Have a nice day/night.

Thank you for your input, level 1 would be the closes to a map we can call finish but was are always changing and tweaking thing in the levels, like in level 1 most of the thing floating in the sky will be animated in the end but right know the only thing with animations and the main parts of the level since we don't want to focus on the small thing this early on in development, we just want the basics of the maps playable then improve and work on the smaller things then.

I like pictures 2 and 3 (two posts above). Breaking the laws of physics is always neat! The HUD looks good, but the info is a little cramped - I'd spread it out a bit more. Not sure about game play yet, as I haven't seen anything yet, but graphically, this game looks great!

Thank you for your comment, breaking the laws of physics has been a real fun thing to do since this game since where not limited to earth physics, we should have a gameplay trailer coming out soon, there are just some thing we need to get done before we bring on out.

Thank you for your interest in our project, happy gaming.

Hello gamers, where back from a cople of days of no posing due to hardware problems but its fix now. :)

We have some new screenshots of some levels plus a new test for the main menu and a new level in the works (remember all screenshots are from the Alpha build of the game and may change in the future)

We are having some problems with AI's and hope to get that fixed soon, the game is coming along smoothly, later this week some more cutscenes will be placed into the game along with new levels. The game is looking around to have about 20 levels but around 40 with you do all side levels in the game, this might change as the game goes on with added levels in the game. We are looking forward to releasing this game out to all you to play and to here your feed back on our game.

Thank you all for your support and feedback on our game it means a lot.
Have a nice day and happy gaming.

    Now its screenshot time ^_^

Testing out a new Main Menu

    Level 4 - part 2 (Alpha)

Visually, the main menu looks great, but I'm not sure it represents the FPS portion, nor the crazy physics. Not saying it's BAD and, it's certainly a great menu, but it could be a little... weirder? On a related note, I like the "left or right." Will we be able choose "up" later in development? :)

The gameplay pictures look just as cool as the last ones! Can't wait to play it!

The weekend is here and a update on The Jump. Right know the game have six levels with in each level they have two to three parts along with a limbo, each level of limbo gets harder to escape, e.g. level 1 limbo is simpler to get out of them level 6 limbo (limbo is the result of falling down) starting at level 2 limbo monsters will be there waiting for you to fall.

We will be updating the player model, so we will have some new photos of the new player in the next update, things that we will be changed, play mode, weapons, more weapons, amo, amo reload and more.

We have some good news for you all, we are now looking for Alpha testers for our game, if you want to test the alpha version for the game email us at : the jump@spiralstopmotion.com (The Jump is still in development, most content you currently see is not a final version and will continue to be improved.)

Thats all the news for now, TIME FOR MORE SCREENSHOTS !

    (Level 6 Alpha)

The Weekend is here and so is and update on the game ! We have been working hard no the game this past week witch is there reson with the lack of updates this week on facebook, indieDB and the Unity Forums, we are getting ready for Alpha test witch is coming up soon, we have all ready had number of people contacting us about getting in to the Alpha beta, if you would like to be apart of the Alpha test or just want to know more email us at jump@spiralstopmotion.com

One of the big new changes in the game is the play model has been re-built from the ground with with a new player model, scripts and animation to make the game look more polished and smooth, we are also starting to up-graed the maps to look and run better the biggest changes to maps would be to Level 1, 2 and all the limbo levels. One of the biggest problems we have had is with AI's but that has changed we now have working Ai's in the game and more to come (and there are no easy to kill)

They opening story to the game has also changed a bit, we wanted to bing the player more into the world of the Jump more and to help them think it real, we will be working hard getting it ready of Alpha testing and full release. We will keep you posted with the news as it comes.

Do you know what time it is ? Screenshot time.

    Level 1 - Alpha test

    Level 2 - Alpha test

    Level 4 - Alpha test

    Level 5 - Alpha test

    Thank you for your time.

Great work! The only thing I would change is removing the crosshairs when aiming down the sights. I particularily like the arms- a lot of work went into those!
