All time favorite: Jagged Alliance 2 (with 1.13 mods)
But I have spent countless hours on Fallout series too (especially 2nd part), so it's a tough question..

RPG: I'd have to say either Planescape:Torment or Baldurs Gate 2: Shadows of Amn.

As for general fun multiplayer game: M.U.L.E.

Combat game to let off steam? Battlefield 2.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but it's such an awesome game I don't even need to name it. All I need to do is provide the cheat it spawned....

up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start.

    ... nuff said ... ;)

As a backup - since I'm a huge RPG fan, Wizardry Bane of the Cosmic Forge, and Final Fantasy NES (the original).

    Impossible Mission and Sinistar.

Whatever happen to games taunting you? Maybe that's why people like Portal?

    Ah, M.U.L.E.!!

First real multiplayer game I ever played. My friends and I would cluster around the tiny screen on the C=64 and play that all day.
I was mildly amused when I heard the M.U.L.E. theme in Spore (though Spore is nowhere near as fun)

    Arma II

Best sandbox simulation to date + second to none mission editor with powerful scripting capabilities make it pretty flexible for just about anything you can imagine in a scenario.

of course i wouldn't dare say scripting is easy, at time its rather difficult at the moment my problems are animals spawning on the airport runway interfering with A.I aircraft and the artillery script i found and adapting is posing problems.

I had quite some fun this year with Dead Space 12, Dragon Age 2, Shadowgrounds Survivor, Portal 2, The Dream Machine, Forget me not, Sworcery and still geoDefense. Expecting some more fun in form of Rage, Torchlight 2, Desktop Dungeons and hopefully Voxatron. Biggest dissapoinment in 2011 was everything TTG did. I'll grab Witcher 2 when it's a budget title. On the horizon we have games such as Dead Space 3, BioShock Infinite, a new Pikmin, The Witness, Miegakure, surprises in Humble Indie Bundles and there is still hope for a real adventure from Double Fine, Elite 4, a new The Bard's Tale and many ?.

MINE... you just haven't seen it yet. It's beyond your realm of comprehension!! :)

other than that... Stealth games, and some RPGs, and games with good story to gameplay intergration.

Definitely a tough one, and I'm not sure that warm and fuzzy, is perhaps the best definition but, given the game play, music, story how the characters all intertwine with each other in some way, it has to be Resident Evil.

Collectively 1,2,3 code veronica. As I believe these are the only true Resident Evil games i.e.. keeping to the original storyline without trailing off into what seems more like a sci-fi fantasy genre, especially with number 5.

In all honesty there hasn't been a resi game Iv 'e truly disliked as a game, just would prefer it if they would of kept in tow with the original script. It can be annoying to have to mentally separate sequels from, prequals so it doesn't ruin the game for you.

But looking at it from perhaps the developers point of view, they would have to go by the sort of game they believe will sell the most, as well as most of the team that were part of the older games weren't part of the newer ones, always going to be be tricky.

Apologies for the extra long message, but I do Like my resi.

    Best regards

Astrosmash? Wow, that takes me back. I played that all day once, and paused it to not lose my score, only to have my father turn off the Intellivision. Man, I was pissed.

Probably one of the Street Fighter series with a good mate is fairly solid. There's nothing quite like beating up on a best friend is there?

Wolfenstein is the only game I played to completion.

Doom is the online game I stayed up til the wee hours of the morning playing online (via 33K modem gasp!) and going into work late the next day.

The Bard's Tale III on the C64 was awesome, so was the packaging! :O)
On the Amiga The Bard's Tale I was the best version, the singing monks.
And on PC InXile Entertainment's The Bard's Tale is one of the funniest games ever made.

I think i already posted on this but now it is: Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword, i must say i never played the original oot i played it on gamecube and now on 3ds but it dident keep me glued to the tv for 34hours strait but skyward sword did, i dare say its near perfect exept for link reacting a little bit slow to dodge Ghirahims punches. It brings great additions to the series like stanima, item upgrading and the super overpowerd beetle wich in most cases makes all enemys a walk in the park to kill.

    hear is my full list:
    1.skyward sword
    2.OOT 3d
    3.Runescape

I've heard really good things about it, but I can't bear the fact that one of the supposed greatest Zelda games was made for the Wii
