Hey guys, over the last 3 or so days I made a quick game with one of my buddies. It's sort of an interactive 'choose your own adventure'. It was for the Experimental Gameplay Project's 'Story Game' month. http://www.stevegargolinski.com/the-fifth-zombie/ I made it with Unity and the awesome Playmaker plugin.
Nice one! I like the combination of storybook and gaming conventions, and how even minimal or single choice can feel meaningful (particularly with the ending)... a cool experiment!
Just have to point out that the Revolver of Truth is obviously a pistol, and not a revolver. I thought there would be some special meaning to this later, but I couldn't see any. Am I missing something?
No special meaning, we were REALLY rushing to get this done and my buddy doing the art couldn't draw a revolver that looked good for some reason. We thought saying 'glock of truth' sounded too wannabe gangsta, so we just left it. We'll fix it in the director's cut =)
Yes, revolvers are surprisingly hard to draw. Could it just be Gun of Truth? Oh, wait, it does mention the drum and cocking it...
Here's a quick 'conversational postmortem' about the development of this game if anyone is interested: http://www.stevegargolinski.com/the-fifth-zombie-conversational-postmortem/
